The German government exports the Energiewende and supports the development of renewable energies outside the countryās borders, like on the Greek island of Tilos, writes Handelsblatt. Economy minister Sigmar Gabriel is on a two day visit to Greece to advance the expansion of renewables, especially on islands that are not connected to the main land power grid. Tilosā power is currently supplied by diesel generators on the neighbouring island of Kos, but the plan is to make it an energy independent āgreen islandā, writes Handelsblatt.
