Transport minister calls on auto industry to accelerate move to e-mobility
Three years after the uncovery the diesel scandal, transport minister Andreas Scheuer is pushing carmakers to more rapidly advance the transition to electric mobility, according to a dpa article carried by Berliner Morgenpost. At the 鈥diesel summit鈥 last year, policymakers had called on auto industry executives to bring a 鈥渃ompelling鈥 range of alternative powertrains and mobility solutions to market, the article says. 鈥淣evertheless, I鈥檓 impatient,鈥 Scheuer said. 鈥2020 or 2022 is too late for the products. We are providing support now and urgently need German products across all vehicle classes.鈥
