Transport minister calls on auto industry to accelerate move to e-mobility
Three years after the uncovery the diesel scandal, transport minister Andreas Scheuer is pushing carmakers to more rapidly advance the transition to electric mobility, according to a dpa article carried by Berliner Morgenpost. At the 鈥�diesel summit鈥� last year, policymakers had called on auto industry executives to bring a 鈥渃ompelling鈥� range of alternative powertrains and mobility solutions to market, the article says. 鈥淣evertheless, I鈥檓 impatient,鈥� Scheuer said. 鈥�2020 or 2022 is too late for the products. We are providing support now and urgently need German products across all vehicle classes.鈥�
